This has been a emotional roller coaster of a season for one Portland Winterhawk player in particular. This week 17 year old forward Taylor Peters was assigned to the Penticton Vees of the BCHL. Taylor will be back in the WHL at some point, and hopefully it will be back wearing the familiar #25 of the Portland Winterhawks.
Taylor has dealt with the ups and downs of playing some as a 15 year old, as a regular during his 16 year old season, and now being caught up in the numbers game as a 17 year old. During this time Taylor has always supported his team mates, the organization and dealt with it all with grace and humility.
Taylor is much more then just a hockey player. All the time that this has gone on, he has also maintained outstanding grades with his school work, taking classes like advanced physics and biology to name a few. From my perspective Taylor has shown to be a classy person, quality student, and the type of person one can hope their own son can admire and strive to become both on and off the ice.
TP, I for one am looking forward to your return better then ever to the WHL and the Winterhawks. Keep working hard, you will be missed both on and off the ice. Tear it up in the BCHL.
