December 14th... Already

Well first off, I have been lame on posting this season. I started with the idea that every game would get a post... well, I missed that one, then it was going to be every Monday... well I missed that too so for those of you out there... sorry. I have sucked... but with the holiday break coming up, the team is getting ready for a well deserved break and so am I.

The break helps get the team some rest and get ready for the second half... so here goes. After the break the team will have 34 regular season games left to play... so, Wednesday night is Spokane will mark game #36 on the season, and what a half a season it has been. Both on and off the ice, the team has made moves, won some games, lost some others and overall is playing pretty good hockey.

Now they have a stretch where depth is going to be critical as key players are getting a chance to go off and play in holiday tournaments, and will not be available to the Hawks. We see the return of Joel Ridgeway and my favorite Taylor Peters to Portland to help fill the void of injury and holiday opportunities. How this team fares... well, Portland isn't the only team missing players and as I told the Bantams yesterday, you lace em up and play with who you have... no excuses. So, to the Hawks, lace em up with you ya got, no excuses...

Hawkey Talk tonight at Stark Street... Ross, Wotherspoon, Swenson and Doyle for sure and maybe a surprise guest will make an appearance too.
