Spokane and Portland Part 6

The "Red" team showed up tonight and won another game... making it 6 wins in a row for the team wearing the red sweaters... the Team in the White Sweaters have been beaten and played with low confidence all series long. So what gives... Did we all watch the Road Warrior and think wouldn't it be cool to have the road team win all seven games in a series?

In reality we know that the teams do not go out and try to be a different team on the road then at home... but in this series it has become a tale of two cites and two teams. Spokane is playing much differently in Portland then at home too... and this goes back to the regular season as well... So as it stands today... Portland is 7-0 in Spokane and Spokane is 6-1 in Portland... at that one loss in Portland was during Snow Storm 2009... or whatever that one freak evening of snow did to Portland between Christmas and New Years. So now we head into that do or die game 7, where anything can happen... if we go with the trends, Portland should win 5-3 or so... but can you beat a team 8 times in their building in a season? I know Portland went 12-0 against Seattle this year... and has gone 7-0 against Spokane... and the last game 7 Portland was in they won in Seattle... so, yes, I believe if the Road Warrior Red Sweater Wearing Team shows up, they will win and be 7-0 in the Series giving Portland a second round match up with Vancouver... Heck Kelowna went into Everett tonight and won that anything can happen game 7... so Portland / Spokane has come down to this one game, Portland against the world... I believe the better Portland team arrives and wins in Spokane again.

As it sits today... Round 2 looks like this...

West
Tri City vs. Kelowna
Portland / Spokane winner vs. Vancouver

East
Calgary vs. MH
Brandon vs. Saskatoon

More on that and a look back at round 1 later in the week... For now... get on the Red Sweaters boys and go get em!
