Today is the next step in many a young hockey players lives.. the day where many start their path of playing in the WHL. While every kid taken doesn't turn out to be a super star, today is both a reward for quality play and a next step.
For teams this is all about the future as these kids don't have a real chance to play as 15s, but with poor drafts the talent of a team can diminish quickly.
Today will be interesting as Portland doesn't have one of the top picks, so we will see what gems are found later on today...
