Calgary...

I am not sure how best to describe the contest with Calgary. Not everything about that game was a complete disaster... was it?

Portland reminded me very much of a team trying to figure who they are... Over the weekend in Spokane, Portland had some issues. As a Mike Johnston team, they should be generating better quality offensive chances, and while the got out of Spokane with two wins, they simply got boat raced by the Hitmen on Wednesday night. Portland couldn't control the puck with decent passing, so of course how are they going to generate quality scoring chances?

Heck, the Power Play couldn't sustain offensive momentum, so how could the team on 5v5 hockey.

Portland is on the road again this weekend, hopefully they find a way to control the puck, play in their attack zone a bit more and generate scoring chances, or this could be a frustrating season for players and fans alike.
