The Hawks currently have 7 points in 5 games... What does that really tell us? The Hawks have beaten Lethbridge, Vancouver twice and yet have only earned one point on the hated Seattle Thunderbirds.
What other interesting things have we seen, well, Kieth Hamilton has been pretty steady. He is the 11th ranked goalie in the WHL, one spot behind, yes, Calvin Pickard. Ask pretty much any Hawk fan if you would take Pickard and pretty much everyone would, so is Hamilton starting to come around? As Bantams, many suggested that Hamilton was right there with Pickard, heck as a 16 year old Hamilton was Pickard's backup representing BC. So, after 5 games, what do we have?
We have a team trying to find themselves... Against Vancouver and Lethbridge, the tame looked like they were in a game, fighting for pucks, going hard to the net and taking the game to the opponent, against Seattle they looked like a team just skating thinking another win was theres...
So, the challenge for this really talented group of players is going to be to beat the teams they are suppose to, battle and fight the teams they are even with and prepare for the playoffs, because winning the first round simply won't be enough for this years Hawks.
Last night was one of those games where the Hawks came to play, and when they come to play, not many opponents are going to stay with them.
