Seattle - Game 4

Hockey is usually not a game of halves, but last night in the Rose Garden it most certainly was... at the 10 minute mark of the 2nd, we looked up at the shots, 34 - 11 and the score, 2-1 Portland and those sitting around me all commented, wow, why isn't the score more like 4-1? From that point on Seattle really started to creep back into the game...

Calvin Pickard was on last night, Kieth Hamilton only really had one bad moment of indecisiveness and it cost him and the Hawks a goal, and in the end the game. But I do not place this loss on any one player, rather the final 30 minutes of the game it appeared the teams switched. Seattle became the more confident team, making better passes, controlling the puck better and creating better opportunities to score. Portland had their moments, now they need to put it together for a full 60 minutes. So, after 4 games, Portland has 5 pts, 4 against Vancouver and 1 against Seattle, before the season started, who would have thought that?

Tonight is Lethbridge, it is always fun to see the East come to town, and Portland needs to put last night behind them and get ready for another tough team coming into the Rose Garden.

One last point... what is up with the three stars, and I don't mean who is being selected. I am all for young kids getting to present the award, wait what award, and for goodness last night all three players skated over to the young fan, but no photographer was to be found, horrible, simply horrible.
