The Hawks continue to find ways to simply win. With three wins over the past 5 days the Hawks have beaten everybody except the T-Birds. The Hawks also welcome back not only Mac Carruth (win on Friday) but also Ian Curtis (win on Saturday). Not only did the Hawks win three on the road they did it with three different goaltenders. I am not suggesting they have a goalie controversy here, rather wondering what the team is going to do with three goalies. I feel that Hamilton has come full circle and is playing like the goalie that was drafted, not what Portland fans saw two years ago as a 16 year old. So, what is the team to do? Portland is done to 25 on the roster, yet with the status of Nino being completely unknown (how long does he stay in NY) then does the team hold on to all three until Nino comes back to town? I am fearful that if Keith is going to have to share the net with two others will his confidence wane? The goalie issue needs to be solved now. Ian has done some good things for Portland, but keeping him as a 20 year old back up doesn't seem to be the answer.
In other news, congrats to Oliver Gabriel, he is now a Columbus Bluejacket to be... we could see him Frannie and Ryan all playing together in the future. Also to former Hawk Micheal Sauer for making the NY Rangers roster.
Home game on the 13th, back at the MC. Another one of those dreaded Wednesday night games.
