Weekend Through BC

It was a good weekend for the Hawks after the horrible game at home against the Calgary Hitman. It was good to see that the Hawks were back into the full throttle offensive mode scoring 13 goals over the weekends two games. Ty Rattie is on a hot streak with the hat trick on Friday... he backed that up with another multi point game on Saturday. He really should have been the first star in both games... So far Ty is second in the WHL in scoring with 21 points in 11 games. Pretty good for a 17 year old second year player... he will be at the top of many prospect lists going into next years NHL draft.

I do find it interesting that Portland keeps dressing Keith Hamilton, and yet he hasn't played since he won in Everett almost two weeks ago... does he get the start on Wednesday at home? I kind of thought he would have got the start in his home town of Kelowna on Saturday. To this point he has a 92.5% save and 2.63 GAA, that puts him 10th in the WHL. Mac is slightly better to this point with a 94% and 2.35 GAA. Portland can't keep three goalies all season, the team has got to make a move.

Everett comes to town on Wednesday. Should be an interesting night as President Obama is in town at the Convention Center at a Rally for the Governors race. Traffic could be horrible depending on the timing of everything, so be prepared. Hawks have two games at home this week, so come on out and support them.
